DLG SECURES ACCREDITATION

DLG architects has been awarded an ISO 9001:2008 QA accreditation certificate this week from QMS International Plc. The award recognizes ‘quality managed systems’ in line with international standards set by ISO and signifies a major achievement for DLG.

The recognition is a major boost for DLG that has designed and implemented its own practice manual for all aspects of work over the past 35 years, ensuring control and quality at all times. These systems are continually accessible to all members of staff through the practice intranet and a document controlled database.

James Beadnell, associate director at DLG comments: “The formal recognition of this quality standard shows our commitment to deliver excellence in all that we do and demonstrates that our proven processes are firmly in-place to meet customer requirements. The award also signifies that we are well placed to meet the challenges ahead in a very competitive marketplace”.

ISO 9001:2008 requires an organisation to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. It also aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement and conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Only five per cent of businesses in the UK have achieved this Government backed accreditation.

DLG is also currently working to achieve ISO 14001 accreditation that recognises how well an organisation manages its environmental responsibilities.A further commitment that the team is keen to pass on to benefit its customers.
